We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong background in sports coaching. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages in swimming techniques, ensuring their safety while promoting water confidence and enjoyment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each student.
- Educate students on water safety, swimming techniques, and the importance of physical fitness.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents or guardians regarding progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in swim instruction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A genuine passion for educating others and fostering a love for swimming.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Relevant certifications in swim instruction or lifeguarding are an advantage but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
