Custody Support Worker | Veterans in Custody Programme | North-East | £29,000 FTC
This is not your average support role. Our client works with veterans inside the prison system — helping them get job-ready and supporting their transition back into the community on release.
Based full-time at a North-East prison, you will carry a caseload of veteran participants, building trusted relationships, removing barriers, and connecting people with training and employment opportunities. It is challenging, purposeful work.
We are looking for someone with a background in employment support, mentoring, probation, or similar — someone who understands how to motivate people who have lost their way. Custodial experience is useful but not required. A connection to the armed forces community, personally or professionally, is a genuine advantage.
Enhanced DBS required. FTC to 2027, potentially 2029.
Pay: £29,000.00 per year
