Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Part-time Ironer to join our local ironing service. The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally pressing and finishing garments and linens to ensure a high standard of quality. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive environment. Experience in hotel laundry or similar settings is considered a plus, but full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Iron and press a variety of garments and linens with attention to detail and precision
- Ensure all items are pressed to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in finish
- Organise and manage incoming laundry items for timely processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the ironing area
- Assist with sorting laundry before pressing and folding finished items as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel laundry or similar environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of work
- Basic understanding of garment care and fabric types is advantageous
