This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority aimed at delivering high-quality Children’s Social Care services. The role focuses on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people, contributing to improved outcomes. The position involves managing a complex caseload, delivering effective social work interventions, and ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice standards, while upholding the reputation of the Council and Department.

Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision and support.

Undertake statutory social work duties in line with relevant legislation and policies.

Carry out assessments, develop care plans, and ensure regular reviews are completed.

Deliver protective and supportive services to children in need, at risk, or looked after.

Experience managing complex caseloads within Children’s Social Care.

Experience working within statutory frameworks and safeguarding processes.

Experience preparing reports and attending court proceedings.

Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent).

Registration with Social Work England.

Evidence of continuous professional development.

Working hours: 36 hours per week, 9-5:30 Mon-Fri.

Location: Trinity Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L20 3NJ, United Kingdom.

DBS Required.
