Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs or adjustments as necessary.
- Document test results accurately and provide clear explanations to customers regarding any issues found.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle testing.
