Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ply Liner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing protective lining materials within vehicle bodies, ensuring precise fit and finish. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to contribute to high-quality production processes. Prior experience in mechanical tasks or working with hand and power tools is advantageous.
Duties
- Measure and cut ply lining materials to specified dimensions using appropriate tools
- Install ply kits within vehicle bodies, ensuring secure fit and alignment
- Use hand tools and cordless screwdrivers to secure linings in place
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently during installation procedures
- Perform heavy lifting of ply panels and related materials to facilitate installation
- Inspect finished linings for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge or experience in similar roles preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength and stamina required for the role
- Attention to detail and precision in measuring and fitting materials
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in vehicle bodywork, carpentry, or related trades is desirable but not essential
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to health and safety protocols
- Full clean driving licence with good driving history
- From a Motor Insurance point of view, minimum age of 23 years old
