Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and customer-focused VDA (Vehicle Damage Assessor) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating vehicle damages, providing accurate assessments, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Duties
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent and nature of repairs required.
- Prepare detailed damage reports, including photographs and written descriptions, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Communicate findings clearly to customers, insurance companies, and repair centres, explaining repair needs and options.
- Upsell additional services or repairs where appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and business revenue.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to identify potential underlying issues beyond visible damage.
- Handle cash transactions accurately when processing payments or deposits from clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, concerns, and providing professional guidance throughout the assessment process.
- Maintain organised records of assessments, reports, and customer interactions in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle damage assessment or a related automotive field is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify various types of vehicle damages and repair requirements.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
- Experience in upselling additional services or repairs is advantageous.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in report writing and record keeping.
- Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients with varying levels of understanding.
