Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Dog Groomer to join our friendly team. We are looking for a Professional, trained Dog Groomer with at least one year Salon experience who can work as part of a team but also work alone. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to deliver high-quality grooming services. This role offers flexibility for those looking to work part-time while contributing to a welcoming environment for our canine clients and their owners. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional grooming, ensuring the comfort and safety of each dog, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Groom dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments according to client specifications and breed standards
- Bathe, dry, brush, trim, and style coats using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assess each dog’s health and behaviour to ensure safe grooming practices
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area in compliance with hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, aftercare advice, and any health concerns
- Handle dogs gently yet securely during grooming procedures, ensuring their safety at all times
- Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio of completed wo
- Excellent animal care skills with patience and compassion for dogs of all temperaments
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier dogs safely
- Organised with attention to detail in both grooming techniques and record keeping
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including Saturday
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dog grooming are preferred but not essential
