The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Manager to lead and
oversee the financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director,
the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and
strategic decision-making to support the continued growth and profitability of PRO WEEE.

environmental sustainability.Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Produce accurate financial statements and management information for senior leadership.
- Monitor company performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse financial data and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and
efficiency.
- Present financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
- Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
- Support strategic business planning and investment decisions.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory obligations.
- Oversee VAT returns, Corporation Tax requirements, and other regulatory submissions.
- Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and procedures.
Operational & Commercial Support
- Partner with department managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
- Monitor profitability across business divisions, contracts, and projects.
- Support funding applications, grant opportunities, and financing initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, acquisitions, and investments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis reports.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Desirable
- Experience within logistics, technology, recycling, ITAD, or environmental services
sectors.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management.
- Experience working within a growing SME environment.
- Understanding of sustainability reporting and ESG principles.
