The Loftman Company is one of the UK’s longest-established loft installation specialists, and due to continued demand, we’re expanding our installation teams across the West Midlands and surrounding areas .
We specialise in loft ladders, hatches, boarding, insulation and Velux windows, helping customers unlock valuable storage space in their homes. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation built on quality, this is a reliable, long-term opportunity for the right team.

You must have your own Medium or Long Wheel Base van to be considered.

The Role
You’ll be working as a Head Fitter, responsible for completing loft installations in domestic properties alongside your own assistant (you will need to source and manage your assistant).
This is a hands-on role where quality and efficiency matter. You’ll be trusted to manage your own day and deliver a professional service from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing loft boarding, ladders, hatches and insulation
- Working to a high standard in customers’ homes
- Managing your own assistant on site
- Completing jobs efficiently while maintaining quality
- Communicating clearly with the wider team
- Handling any on-site challenges in a practical, professional way
What We’re Looking For
- Proven carpentry or joinery experience
- Own MWB or LWB van (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused
- Willing to travel up to 1–2 hours from the Solihull (The Depo)
- Driving licence required
