Overview
At Canoports UK, trading as AliDeck, we manufacture high-performance decking and balcony solutions and provide off-the-shelf compliance with all relevant building regulations and legislation for the construction industry.
We have an opportunity for an organised and detail-driven Production Planner to join our Operations team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient planning of production activities, maximising the use of all resources in line with project delivery plans. This role is critical to ensuring production capacity is maximised with a smooth flow of work, delivering excellence in our manufacturing performance.
This is a part time role, with 25 hours that can be worked flexibly within office hours. Salary is pro-rata.
Duties:
Production Planning
- Plan and coordinate powder coating schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of projects.
- Develop and maintain fabrication production plans in line with project timelines and capacity.
- Create and manage cutting lists to support fabrication and manufacturing operations.
- Allocate powder materials to projects based on production requirements and specifications.
Project Preparation
- Produce and organise project job packs for the production team, ensuring all necessary drawings, specifications, and instructions are included.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and clearly communicated to the relevant departments.
Production Coordination
- Liaise with fabrication, powder coating and management teams to ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor progress of jobs through production and adjust plans where required.
- Identify potential production bottlenecks and support solutions to maintain workflow.
Continuous Improvement & Development
- Develop an understanding of CNC machining processes and production requirements.
- Assist with and eventually support the creation of CNC programmes.
- Learn and contribute to technical balcony drawing preparation for manufacturing.
- Support improvements in planning systems and production efficiency.
Skills
- Experience in resource and work planning and organisation
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or metalwork environments (Desired)
- Understanding of powder coating or fabrication processes (Desired)
- Experience reading technical drawings (Desired)
- Exposure to CNC machinery or CAD software (Desired)
