We are looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic person to support our amazing daughter – a bright, funny and creative young woman with autism and whole-body apraxia.
She understands everything, has so much to say, and shines when she gets the right support.
About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a highly intelligent young woman to access her community, pursue interests and hobbies, develop communication, and live life to the fullest.
You Will Be Supporting With:
- Wandering around art galleries, walks in nature
- Creative, educational and leisure activities
- Communication and social interaction
- Encouraging independence and choice-making
- Days out, hobbies and personal interests
- Light support with daily routines as required
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Kind, patient and compassionate
- A good listener and communicator
- Reliable, trustworthy and proactive
- Comfortable learning alternative communication methods
- Positive, flexible and enthusiastic
Experience in autism, disability support, psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, education, teaching assistance or care is welcomed but not essential. The right personality and attitude are most important.

Hours
Part-time hours available with flexibility for the right person.
Location
Leigh / Wigan area.
Additional Information
Own transport is desirable but not essential depending on location.
