Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Location: Various UK Locations (Based out of Royston, Hertfordshire)
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (Some flexibility may be required)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Class 1 Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting goods across various locations in the UK, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Transport and deliver goods across the UK.
- Ensure all loads are secure and comply with relevant transport regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records, including tachographs and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all driving regulations and company policies.
- Ensure excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digi-Tacho Card.
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Experience in tramping work is desirable but not essential.
- Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual approach.
- Ability to work independently and follow schedules effectively.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
