Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while maintaining high standards of childcare and organisational efficiency. The Nursery Manager will also be responsible for staff supervision, liaising with parents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee daily nursery operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to policies.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote early childhood education and development.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Organise staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance reviews to ensure a motivated team.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including safeguarding policies and early years regulations.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, budgeting, and reporting as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services offered.
- To contribute to an extension program for growth of the group.
Skills
- Full and relevant Level 5 or above Early Years qualification
- Experience within an Early Years leadership role as a Nursery Manager
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working directly with children and understanding their developmental needs.
- Ability to build positive relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.

Pay: £25,066.35-£50,000.00 per year
