Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Van Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role involves delivering goods/furniture efficiently whilst assisting with various tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery/removals operations, and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required. Duties
- Safely operate company van for local/national deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and securely stored during transit
- Assist with logistics duties such as organising items, packing , and maintaining cleanliness of the van
- Perform heavy lifting of goods and equipment as needed, following proper manual handling procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience working in a customer facing or manual labour environment is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
