Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shuttering Carpenter (Improver) to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation and improvement of formwork for concrete structures, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency on site. Responsibilities
- Assist in the erection, alignment, and dismantling of formwork for concrete structures in accordance with project specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools.
- Ensure all formwork is securely fixed and levelled to achieve precise concrete finishes.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely around the site.
- Conduct routine inspections of formwork to identify and rectify any defects or issues.
- Assist with general RC works including steelfixing and concrete placement.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
Experience
- Ideally, proven experience in carpentry, particularly with shuttering or formwork installation.
- Previous knowledge of using of hand tools and power tools essential for the role.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction activities is desirable.
- Experience on live construction sites, please provide references.
- Valid driving licence with own transport is essential. This position requires a proactive approach, good organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Pay: £17.50-£22.00 per hour
