Job Summary
Beverley School is seeking five dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprentices (SEND) to join our specialist team supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with complex needs, including autism.
This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a specialist educational setting while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will work within our Primary Complex Needs classes, supporting small groups of approximately 9 pupils alongside a skilled team of around 5 staff members.
Duties
- Support teachers in delivering personalised learning activities for pupils with SEND, including autism and complex needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to encourage learning, communication, confidence, and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in classroom activities.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with adapting resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Work as part of a team with teachers, support staff, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children and young people.

Apprenticeship Training
You will complete a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship (SEND Pathway) delivered by Best Practice Network, including:
- Weekly training sessions and reviews.
- Classroom observations and professional mentoring.
- Ongoing support from experienced practitioners.
- Preparation for End-Point Assessment.
