Self-Employed Domestic Cleaner (Subcontractor)

The Mowing Maid is a growing, family-run cleaning and gardening business based in Grimsby and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we’re looking to add a reliable self-employed cleaner to support our regular domestic cleaning work.
This role is ideal for someone who already cleans independently or is looking to build up consistent, long-term work with a well-organised local business.
The role:
- Regular domestic cleaning (weekly & fortnightly homes)
- Occasional deep cleans
- All work is local
- Consistent, repeat clients (not one-off jobs)
Hours:
- Mondays to start with.
- Part-time, flexible hours
- Weekday work (Monday–Friday)
- Opportunity to increase hours over time if desired
Pay:
- Competitive hourly rate (£13–£15 per hour, depending on experience)
- Paid on a subcontract basis
- Regular, reliable work offered
You must:
- Have domestic cleaning experience
- Be reliable, trustworthy and detail-focused
- Be self-employed (or willing to register)
- Have your own transport
- Be comfortable working independently to a high standard
