Summary
REED/LTA are seeking an experienced Nursery Teacher to join a rural primary school in Preston.
This full-time position starts at the beginning of May and continues until the end of the summer term. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of teaching assistants and delivering high-quality early years education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational activities suitable for nursery-aged children.
- Lead and manage a team of teaching assistants, ensuring effective support and development within the classroom.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that stimulates learning and development.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in school events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Nursery Teacher.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
