Castleton Farm is looking for reliable, hardworking and detail-focused people to join our busy soft fruit packhouse team.
The main role will involve working on the scales, weighing soft fruit packs to make sure they meet the correct weight and quality standards. You may also be asked to support other packhouse duties when required, including packing, checking fruit quality, labelling, loading lines, crate packing, or helping production teams.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role, working hours and overtime requirements. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK, their own accommodation, and be able to reliably commute to Castleton Farm. Please note that accommodation is not provided for this role.
The role is seasonal and available until November. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends during busy periods.
Starting pay: You will be paid a minimum hourly rate of £12.71 per hour, with overtime payable at £19.07 per hour after 8 hours worked on any day or after 48 hours worked in the week.
Previous experience in packhouse, food production, quality control, or fresh produce work would be helpful, but training can be provided. There may be opportunities for the right candidates to progress into more responsible roles, such as quality control, line operator, team leader, or supervisory positions.
