We are an education recruitment agency working with a specialist SEN setting and are seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people aged 5–19 with complex learning needs.
This is a non-mainstream role, supporting students with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, helping them develop life skills, independence and confidence.
The Role:
- Supporting small classes (8–13 students), grouped by ability and need
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, PSHE and daily living skills
- Using communication methods such as Makaton, symbols and sensory approaches
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Working as part of a highly supportive, well-trained team
- Some personal care duties (full training provided)
