HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Widnes, WA8 area
- Pay: £16.26 per hour
- Overtime after 40 hours - £19.08
- Full-time | Monday to Friday
Workmate Agency are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client based in Widnes, operating Artic Walking Floor trailers.

The Role
- Operating Class 1 HGV vehicles and Artic Walking Floor trailers
- Completing collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Maintaining accurate digital tachograph records
- Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
- Providing professional customer service at collection and delivery points
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Additional shifts and overtime available as required
Pay Rates
- £16.26 per hour basic rate
- Overtime after 40 hours paid at 1.25x
- Saturdays paid at 1.5x
- Bank Holidays paid at 2x
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
- Valid CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience
- Experience using Walking Floor / Moving Floor trailers is highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
