Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our facility.. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively and is able to maintain cleanliness and organisation within a busy bakery setting.
Duties
- Assisting bakers with various tasks as needed.
- Cleaning, organizing and washing up utensils, trays, bowls, and other bakery equipment.
- Assist with the transportation of items as needed, ensuring safe and efficient practices.
- Following food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Operation of cleaning machines and equipment.
- Assist with setups and breakdowns, ensuring all equipment is in good condition by performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning/maintenance tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Physical stamina and strength.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Reliable & punctual
- Good team player with a willingness to learn and take direction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
