Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Production Chef with large volume banqueting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The Chef will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality. Working hours are Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed and minimising waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations .
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene practises including EHO compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency in using various kitchen equipment, including hand tools and power tools for food preparation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to assemble dishes creatively while adhering to presentation standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both food preparation and kitchen management.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team.
