As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping to create positive, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences. Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will support pupils across a range of ages and abilities, providing both academic and pastoral assistance.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or within an educational setting
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Are confident supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND experience (desirable but not essential)
- Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Show initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Are passionate about helping children achieve and thrive
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
- Delivering support to individuals and small groups of pupils
- Assisting with lesson preparation and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Supporting behaviour management and encouraging positive engagement
- Promoting pupil confidence, independence, and wellbeing
- Providing targeted support where additional learning intervention is needed
