REMA TIP TOP supply premium quality equipment, tools and consumables to the automotive aftermarket, including tyre repair material, valve hardware, balance weights, chemical products, tyre inflation, air tools/buffing media, workshop tools, TPMS as well as a full range of Wheel Service equipment.
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation and servicing of Corghi automotive workshop equipment, including tyre changers, wheel balancers, and alignment systems. You will cover the areas that include Bristol, Swindon, Reading and Andover
This is a key customer-facing role, working with garages, dealerships, and automotive service centres. You’ll ensure equipment is installed correctly, fully operational, and maintained to the highest standard—helping customers maximise uptime and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and calibrate Corghi tyre changers, wheel balancers, and alignment equipment
- Perform diagnostics, fault-finding, and on-site repairs on electro-mechanical systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and safety inspections
- Respond to breakdown calls and resolve issues efficiently to minimise downtime
- Deliver basic operator training to customers following installation
- Complete service documentation and reports accurately
- Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver excellent service
- Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, or replacement equipment
About You
- Experience servicing automotive workshop equipment or similar capital equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Previous field-based, customer-facing experience
- Good understanding of garage environments and workshop operations (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays
Desirable Skills
- Experience with tyre equipment, wheel alignment systems, or garage equipment brands (e.g., Corghi, Hunter, Hofmann, Bosch)
- Basic knowledge of electronics, sensors, and calibration systems
- Familiarity with compressed air and hydraulic systems
