Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant’s standards. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the head chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with the restaurant’s menu and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide training where necessary
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to serve dishes attractively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
