Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Line Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the assembly process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic industrial environment, with a focus on fabrication, materials handling, and mechanical systems. You will need to have good written and data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Operate various production line machinery efficiently and safely, adhering to operational procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal output.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Assist with fabrication tasks using hand tools, welding, milling, and other machining processes.
- Handle materials and components carefully, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse or production area.
- Support assembly activities by following detailed instructions and maintaining quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to minimise downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Requirements
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely.
- Keeping records and tracking data manually.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
