Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver excellent customer service while preparing a variety of food and beverages. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, food safety, and creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
We are open 7 days a week. The successful candidate will receive 3-4 shifts and up to 24 hours per week.
Must have at least 2 years barista experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees and teas, ensuring high quality standards are maintained.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or pastries as required.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or via takeaway services, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces in line with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, including giving correct change.
- Restock supplies and ingredients throughout shifts to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold food safety standards at all times.
- Support team members with general duties as needed to ensure an efficient and welcoming environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those eager to learn.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when required.
- Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
