Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately to ensure precise fabrication.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and optimise workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG andTIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Solid knowledge of sheet metal work, welding techniques, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Experience in assembly processes is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or fabrication are advantageous but not mandatory.
