a the We are a well-established care agency operating in Walsall seeking a motivated and compassionate Field Care Supervisor to oversee our Supported Living services in Walsall, Cannock, Stoke-on-Trent and Warwickshire. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities in line with our Mission Statement, Core Values, and Policy Guidelines.
- Implement a holistic approach to care, considering social, physical, cultural, emotional, and spiritual aspects of service users' wellbeing.
- Work across multiple homes within the service and lead work teams.
- Have flexibility which allows for monitoring the service during weekends (at least one weekend day a month) and evenings (at least two late shifts a week).
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with Managers and staff for seamless care delivery.
- Promote a safe and caring environment that fosters independence and enhances the quality of life for our service users.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safeguarding measures.
- Collaborate with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and families to provide comprehensive support to service users.
- Carry out initial care needs assessments in a person-centred way by involving individual.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans to meet individual needs and goals.
- Carry out periodic care needs re-assessments in set time intervals or when there are changes to care needs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training to staff to ensure continuous improvement.
- Monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance service delivery. This involves regular audits as per policy and the creation and implementation of action plans.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to service users and staff activities.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Qualifications in Health and Social Care or a related field (NVQ Level 3 or higher).
- Previous experience in providing care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
- Driver’s licence and access to vehicle for work travel to work sites.
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications in Health and Social Care or Management.
- Experience in a similar managerial or supervisory role in a care setting.
