Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our educational facility. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the school environment, coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, and support staff and students to foster an effective learning atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in teaching or school administration to contribute to a vibrant educational community.
This position is all year round and not term time only. The right candidate must have an in date DBS certificate and if you don't have one, we'd be happy to get one processed for you.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school site, including facilities, safety protocols, and security arrangements
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and liaise with contractors to ensure the school environment remains safe and well-maintained
- Support administrative tasks such as managing inventories, overseeing supplies, and organising resources for staff and students
- Assist in organising school events, meetings, and activities to promote community engagement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits
- Act as a point of contact for staff, students, parents, and external agencies regarding site-related matters
- Support teaching staff by providing logistical assistance where needed to facilitate effective lesson delivery
Experience
- Prior experience in a school environment or educational setting is highly desirable
- Background in teaching or education management will be considered an advantage
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to educational settings
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment
