We're looking for a Dental Laboratory Tutor who is passionate about sharing their expertise and helping learners succeed in their careers.
You might already be delivering apprenticeship training. Or you might be an experienced Dental Laboratory Technician looking for a new challenge and interested in supporting the next generation of professionals.

You'll work closely with learners in real dental laboratory environments, helping them develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours needed to succeed in a highly skilled profession.

What you'll be doing
- Coaching and supporting Dental Laboratory Technician apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey
- Delivering engaging teaching sessions, workshops and tutorials (online and occasionally face-to-face)
- Creating and delivering recorded learning content to support flexible learning
- Conducting workplace observations and reviews
- Monitoring learner progress and providing meaningful, actionable feedback
- Supporting learners to achieve competence against apprenticeship Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs)
- Working closely with employers to ensure apprentices develop the skills required in the workplace
- Contributing to a high-quality, consistent learner experience
- Supporting apprentices to prepare for End-Point Assessment (EPA)
What we're looking for
Essential
- Occupational competence within a dental laboratory environment
- Relevant qualification in Dental Technology or equivalent professional experience
- Current or recent industry experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Dental materials and processes
- Appliance construction and finishing techniques
- Infection control and laboratory safety
- Quality assurance and accuracy standards
- A genuine passion for developing others
We'd also love
- Experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring or assessing
- Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and End-Point Assessment processes
- Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body
