To support the wellbeing of our residents through a combined role: preparing and serving meals as Kitchen Assistant, and providing high-quality personal care as Carer. The post holder works flexibly across both duties according to the needs of the home and the daily rota.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Assistant Duties
- Lay supper trays and prepare each resident's food choices from their supper wish list, served as required (warm/cold, garnished).
- Serve supper and hot drinks to residents in a timely manner.
- Collect used dishes and trays from communal areas and bedrooms.
- Run the dishwasher and store clean crockery.
Carer Duties
- Provide personal care to residents, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care, with dignity and respect.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using equipment safely as trained.
- Support residents at mealtimes, including assisting those who need help eating and drinking.
- Follow each resident's care plan and report any changes in health, mood or behaviour to the senior on duty.
- Complete care records and daily notes accurately and promptly.
- Promote residents' independence, choice and wellbeing, offering companionship and engaging in activities.
- Respond to call bells and emergencies promptly.
Pay: £13.30 per hour
