Assembly fitter job duties include installing components using technical drawings and schematics. Duties include installing hoses, selecting and fitting components using overhead cranes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and documenting maintenance activities. Fitters may also support product development and work on customer sites.
Installation & Assembly
- Install and assemble hydraulic systems, including power units, manifolds, pumps, and piping.
- Fit hydraulic hoses, selecting and fitting the correct lines for specific systems.
- Fit hydraulic components, ensuring they are installed accurately and timely to meet production or project deadlines.
- Assembling components, fitting parts together using hand and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
Technical Skills & Documentation
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand system layouts and assembly requirements.
- Operate hand tools ensuring correct tooling used
- Torquing Procedure ensuring hoses are torqued as per work procedure.
Safety & Collaboration
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols during all work activities, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Follow company policies and industry best practices for assembly and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex issues and support product improvements.
- The Employee agrees to attend training sessions as required and maintain any necessary certifications.
**Must have Fitting Experience**
Working hours on site are Monday - Thursday 7am - 4.30pm, Friday 7am - 12.15pm
Engineering Workshop is based in Northern Ireland BT35 9JD, 15mins from Dundalk & Newry
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
