Overview
NIC Local Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail oriented cleaner to join our team on a temporary basis for holiday cover in Ashford (TN24). This role is ideal for someone with experience in commercial cleaning who is available during morning hours. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.
Schedule and pay
- Dates: 4 August to 28 August 2026
- Hours: Mondays and Thursdays, 9.00am to 11.00am (2 hours per day, 2 days per week)
- Pay: £13.00 per hour
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial premises, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal areas
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained
- Empty bins, replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels, and report any maintenance issues
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning protocols and confidentiality
- Complete cleaning tasks within designated timeframes to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
