East CAMH School In-Reach Service are delighted to be seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist to join the team. This is a 0.53 wte, permanent post and is a new and exciting service development.
East CAMHS School In-Reach Service aims to strengthen the capacity of the education sector workforce to respond to the emerging mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of all children and young people living in Wrexham and Flintshire.
The post holder will work alongside senior management to play a key role in developing the East CAMH School In-Reach consultation and training, to promote innovation and the implementation of evidence based interventions within the Framework on Embedding a Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being (March 2021).

This opportunity will hopefully utilise and extend your knowledge skills and expertise to contribute to school’s implementation of the Health & Wellbeing Area of Learning (AoL) in the all-Wales curriculum.
This is a key service development and leadership role and will also be pivotal in supervising, training, and coaching the CAMH School In-Reach team of Education Mental Health Practitioners to promote practice-based research and enquiry to develop the service and practitioner’s knowledge and skills.
Working alongside East CAMHS Schools In-Reach Service Manager, this role will support CAMH School In-Reach by utilising highly specialised research skills for audit, policy and service development. The post holder will contribute to the development of local policies and procedures and their implementation, to support ongoing improvements in service quality. The role will also include involvement in regional and national service developments linked to East CAMHS Schools In-reach. This post will extend its reach to work alongside internal and external stakeholders to provide consultation to further promote mental health within school communities.
We have excellent links with the Bangor Clinical Psychology Programme and offer clinical placements. Regular supervision will be provided by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
This post will entail traveling throughout the region.
