Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Café Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our vibrant facilities at Bewl Water, including the Waterfront Café and satellite outlets such as the Snack Shack and Ice Cream Parlour. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, motivating a team, and delivering excellent service. Perfect for an energetic team player with a strong work ethic, this seasonal position runs from now until October and offers a fun and rewarding working environment.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the supervision and operation of the Waterfront Café and The Boat House cafe.
- Assist in the efficient and effective delivery of food and beverage operations across all points of sale to the highest service standards and performance levels.
- Deliver the highest possible standard of food and beverages with the resources available, within budget and in line with sales/revenue targets
- Ensure that all customers receive a high quality service every time from their arrival through to their departure.
- Support the Assistant Operations Manager in supervising the F&B team to ensure the delivery of KPIs, including; assisting with staff rotas, administering time sheets.
- Ensure effective lines of communication, both upwards and downwards, between management and the various F&B teams
- To adhere to company policies and procedures and ensure this is communicated effectively with the team
Key Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Friendly and personable individual who enjoys dealing with people.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Experience in food production and kitchen operations, barista experience is desirable.
- Good understanding of hospitality practices, including serving and customer service excellence.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food service environments.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and customers professionally. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy leading teams to deliver exceptional service standards.
