LOCATION: Cardiff – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £36,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We promote TV and podcast content to new audiences on social media. As an Assistant Content Producer, you’ll play a key role in delivering socially native and original videos, helping deliver stories that connect with audiences across the UK.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Reviewing programmes and pitching ideas for engaging social content to help promote them.
- Editing programmes to create dynamic short and ultrashort video for our social media channels
- Actioning notes from Marketing teams and commissioners to ensure that our content is on brand and relevant.
- Delivering high quality content that meets BBC editorial standards and also feels relevant to our audiences.
- Filming original content with contributors and influencers that feels socially native and appropriate for BBC platforms.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience creating social media content for a TV broadcaster, transforming programme footage into engaging, platform-native assets.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, for editing and delivering high-quality video content.
- Practical filming experience, including use of broadcast quality cameras and mobile/phone cameras, with exposure to directing or supporting shoots with on-screen talent.
- Proven ability to pitch creative ideas and deliver them successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Solid understanding of BBC Editorial Guidelines and experience creating social content to promote TV brands.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Proven ability to create motion graphics within Adobe After Effects
- Experience of creating Risk Assessments for small shoots
