Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our growing team on a full-time basis. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and those requiring domiciliary care and community support.
You will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being by delivering person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, helping individuals build confidence and maintain a positive quality of life.
- Support individuals to access community activities, appointments, education, and social opportunities.
- Prepare nutritious meals in line with dietary requirements and personal preferences.
- Assist with behaviour management and promote emotional well-being using positive support approaches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reporting any concerns or changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues to implement effective care plans.
- Support individuals with household tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Promote independence, choice, and inclusion at all times.
Requirements
- A caring, patient, and compassionate nature with a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in care, support work, home care, or patient care is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training will be provided.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings where required.
