Support Worker – Children, Young People.
Location: Cardiff & surrounding areas
Salary: £29,484 (above the Real Living Wage)
Contract: Full-time, 42 hours per week (4 x 1 2hrs week 1, 3 x 12hrs shifts week 2) 168 hrs per month

We specialise in supporting children and young people who may have:
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism / ADHD
- Challenging behaviours
- Experienced neglect, trauma, exploitation, or domestic abuse
What You’ll Do
- Actively engage children and young people in community-based activities — including sports, outdoor pursuits, and creative opportunities such as horse riding, rugby, football, hiking, and fitness sessions at the gym.
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, ensuring every activity promotes wellbeing, inclusion, and enjoyment.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence through participation in educational, social, and physical activities.
- Support with daily living tasks, while helping young people build resilience and life skills.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external professionals to ensure consistent and holistic support.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
- Inspire and motivate young people by turning possibilities into realities through creativity, problem-solving, and positive risk-taking in safe and structured environments.
What We’re Looking For
- A passionate, energetic individual who enjoys engaging young people through sports, outdoor, and community-based activities.
- Experience or strong interest in youth work, support work, coaching, or activity leadership — particularly in areas such as football, rugby, horse riding, hiking, or fitness.
- The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people, encouraging participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- A person-centred approach, ensuring that each young person’s needs, interests, and goals are at the heart of everything you do.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals.
- A proactive attitude, able to use creativity and initiative to plan and deliver meaningful, engaging activities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
- Flexibility to work the shift pattern depending on activity schedules.
- A valid driving licence (Must have ) to support access to community and sporting venues.
- Flexible to work across locations and shift patterns.

Desirable Qualifications & Real Life Experience: (Preferred but not essential)
- QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children, young people, or families.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Must Have).
If you don’t yet hold a qualification, we’ll help you work towards:
- QCF Level 3, 4 and 5 in Health & Social Care (fully funded).
