Role: Transport Coordinator
Location: Southampton
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time | 40 hours
The Role
We're working with a well-established environmental services business looking to add a Transport Coordinator to their Southampton team.
This is a fully office-based, fast-paced role, supporting the day-to-day planning and coordination of vehicles and drivers within a busy waste operation.

Key Responsibilities
-
Plan and schedule vehicles and drivers to maximise efficiency

Support transport compliance (driver hours, tachographs, maintenance) alongside the CPC holder
-
Deliver a high level of service to customers and internal teams

Work closely with other departments to meet operational needs

Support driver management, including holidays, performance, and attendance

Ensure all training and compliance records are up to date

Assist with reporting and general transport administration

Take part in an on-call rota
About You
-
Experience in a transport office, in a planning capacity

Waste sector experience (desirable)

Route planning experience

Strong communication and IT skills
-
Proficient in transport systems

CPC qualified or willing to gain (desirable)

Full UK driving licence
