Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Food Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food products efficiently and safely to various locations. Then cook and serve food to a high standard with ensuring excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the food van to deliver orders to designated locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload stock, ensuring proper handling of food items and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation
- Assist with warehouse duties including stock organisation and heavy lifting when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably within the food or logistics industry
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles, including vans or lorries
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling stock or equipment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations is advantageous
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of driving and manual tasks
