Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing various finishing tasks on construction projects, ensuring high-quality standards and a polished final appearance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in multiple trades to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments.
Duties
- Apply carpentry, masonry, and roofing techniques to complete construction finishes
- Perform painting and touch-ups to achieve desired aesthetic results
- Install plumbing fixtures and electrical components as required for finishing stages
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during finishing tasks
- Fabricate custom components or modifications using appropriate tools and materials
- Conduct welding or fabrication work to reinforce structures or create specialised fittings
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow continuity
- Inspect completed work for defects or imperfections, making necessary adjustments
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or related trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and techniques is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are advantageous
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks throughout the working day
