Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class One tipper Driver tramper (4 nights out) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Duties
- Operate bulk tipper lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
- Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs
- Conduct pre-journey checks on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Secure loads properly using appropriate equipment to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including adherence to driving hours legislation
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer interaction
- Valid HGV Class One licence with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards for large vehicles
- Ability to operate flatbed equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively on tight schedules
