Out of School Play Worker at GX Club, Carrongrove, Carron (part of Glenbervie Kindergarden Ltd).
Term time post. Drivers only.
GX Club are looking for someone who enjoys working with children of primary school age, they must be reliable, creative, energetic and a fun person to join our GX team. The ideal candidate should be effective in their written communication and be willing to take time
to research and self develop. The current post is a term time position with working hours predominantly between 2.30-5.30pm. However, additional hours may be offered to cover staff sickness, holidays and other operational needs. The candidate must be a driver as the role requires driving a small minibus, for insurance purposes the successful candidate needs to have been driving for 2 years and be 25 years or over.
SVQ in play work or equivalent is preferred however a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification would be acceptable.
This post will require staff to drive/walk to and from local schools.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, creative and appropriate play experiences during the out of school club sessions.
Take part in the day-to-day administration of the Club as agreed and in accordance with the Club’s policies and procedures.
Provide full care for the children including escorting to school.
Develop good relations with children, parents and other staff to contribute to a harmonious environment.
Attending meetings and training when required.
Preparing snacks.
Daily set up and removal of equipment, upkeep and maintenance of GX equipment.
The successful candidate will be subject to PVG checks and will be
required to register or already be registered with the SSSC.
Hourly rate is dependent on qualification, age and experience.
Pay: Up to £13.45 per hour
