Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Type: Full Time 37.5 Hours per Week
An established and highly respected precision manufacturing business is looking to expand its skilled production team with the addition of an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator.
Working across a varied portfolio of bespoke projects this is an opportunity to join a business where quality, craftsmanship and engineering excellence are at the heart of everything they do.
This is not a repetitive production role you’ll be involved in interpreting drawings, creating templates and producing high-quality fabricated components that move through to larger-scale production. The team are highly skilled and hands-on, so this role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in precision work and can hit the ground running.
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, your duties will include:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job specifications

Producing bespoke sheet metal components and templates from customer designs

Cutting, folding and fabricating sheet metal to required specifications

Creating and preparing tooling for manufacture

Operating a range of workshop machinery including press brake, laser and fabrication equipment

Carrying out TIG and MIG welding where required

Supporting bespoke and prototype projects through to production handover

Working to high quality standards in a fast-paced engineering environment

Maintaining a safe and organised working area
Previous experience within Sheet Metal Fabrication / General Fabrication is essential

Strong hands-on engineering background – practical ability is key

Competent in reading and working from technical drawings

Experience with cutting, folding, fabrication and tooling creation

TIG and MIG welding experience required, robotic welding exposure advantageous

Comfortable working on bespoke, varied projects rather than repetitive production work

Able to work independently and maintain high standards under pressure
Competitive hourly rate depending on experience

Overtime available and paid at time and a half
