About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Onsite Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at our private hospital. The successful candidate will help ensure the hospital building, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, supporting a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical fixtures, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests across hospital departments
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections
- Support the upkeep of building systems such as lighting, HVAC, and water systems
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Liaise with contractors and support external maintenance works when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in building or facilities maintenance
- Practical skills across general maintenance trades
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Professional approach when working in a healthcare environment
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare or hospital facilities
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. NVQ or City & Guilds)
