Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Security Service Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems in accordance with current industry standards, while delivering excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain a variety of intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Work towards and exceed service and fault-finding targets
- Demonstrate systems to customers and explain system operation, including the causes and prevention of false alarms
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, including telephone support and emergency callouts
- Understand customer requirements and deliver a high standard of service
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately and on time
- Comply with all company policies, including health & safety, quality, environmental, and information security procedures
- Ensure the protection of company and customer assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, damage, or interference
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing and repairing security systems within the security industry
- Strong working knowledge of intruder alarm systems including Galaxy, Castle, Aritech, Scantronic, and similar platforms
- Experience with Network/IP and analogue CCTV systems
- Knowledge of access control systems
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Checkable work history and satisfactory references
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
