Lathom Park CE Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school, supporting children from Nursery to Year 6. The successful candidate will work both within classrooms and on a one-to-one basis with pupils, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping every child to achieve their full potential.
To work under the direction of the Headteacher and class teachers to support the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils across the school. The postholder will provide high-quality classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work on a one-to-one basis with pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping every child to achieve their full potential.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or willingness to work towards
Desirable Qualifications
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with primary-aged children and supporting SEND pupils.
- Experience of working on a one-to-one basis with pupils
- Understanding of behaviour regulation and positive behaviour support strategies
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language or SEMH needs
- Commitment to equality, inclusion and meeting the needs of every child
- Commitment to supporting the Christian ethos and values of the school
Desirable Experience
Experience of supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
